Kendall Lake Winter Sports Center is the hub of winter sports activity in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visit the center to rent a pair of snowshoes and enjoy a peaceful hike on the trails surrounding Kendall Lake. Snowshoes are available for $5.00 whenever the center is open. Cross Country Skis are available for $7.50 for a half day, $15.00 for a full day if trails permit. Sledding and tubing areas and cross-country ski trails are within easy reach of the center. The center, a historic structure of American chestnut and locally quarried stone, provides a rustic setting to warm up with a hot drink and relax after an enjoyable day of outdoor fun. Staff is available to provide visitors with updated weather forecasts, area maps, schedules of park events, and snowshoe and cross-country ski instruction. ***There must be at least 4 inches of snow for snowshoe rental and 6 inches of snow for cross-country ski rental.
