The Ohio and Erie Canal Reservation follows a portion of its namesake, the historic 309-mile Ohio & Erie Canal. Together with the Cuyahoga River, the northernmost remaining 4.3 miles of watered canal provides wildlife management areas, fishing opportunities and scenic beauty. Picnicking, hiking trails, 6.3-miles of all purpose trail, and unique natural and cultural heritage interpretive graphics are also features of the reservation. This reservation is a unique segment of the Ohio & Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor which extends 110 miles from Cleveland to New Philadelphia.
